In PUBG: Battlegrounds, you can now ride in style.
Krafton has teamed up with British automaker McLaren Automotive to introduce the McLaren GT to PUBG just in time for the 19.2 update. In addition to the new automobile skins, the 19.2 updates will include new game content such as a new weather system in Deston, a new vehicle, and more.
The McLaren GT vehicle skins will be available to PC gamers from September 7 to November 2, while console users will be able to purchase them from September 15 to November 10. To commemorate the partnership, players can obtain the McLaren GT Standard-Onyx Black from in-game McLaren Loot Caches, which includes a vehicle skin, outfit, gear, emote, and more. They will then be able to use the new vehicle interaction capability to attach McLaren Skins to automobiles.
Players will be able to make the following vehicle skins workshop when McLaren tokens are used:
- McLaren GT Standard - Silica White
- "McLaren GT Elite - Volcano Yellow
They will also have the opportunity to craft their own McLaren vehicles. Here are some of the customizations players can do in the workshop:
- Vehicle colors
- Brake calipers
- Wheels
Anyone who buys any McLaren vehicle skins will be able to open unique car containers in the pre-game lobby, which will contain a driveable McLaren. As soon as the game begins, the McLaren containers and vehicles will be removed.
The Not-So-Friendly Neighborhood Food Truck will be a new vehicle for Deston gamers to drive. The new vehicle seats up to four people and includes a huge vertical window on one side. Deston will also get a new weather system, which will make both lighting and weather more realistic throughout the game.
