If you've been waiting to buy Far Cry 6, your patience has paid off. From now until August 7, the open-world shooter will be available for free on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
You'll have access to the complete basic game as well as all free DLC published by Ubisoft after its initial release. The game is also on sale for the next three days, allowing you to save 60% if you decide to purchase it after the free-play period.
Far Cry 6 follows in the footsteps of its predecessors by pitting you against a totalitarian foe in the form of dictator Anton Castillo (played by Giancarlo Esposito). To end his dominion, you must travel across the harsh island of Yara, regaining hostile encampments along the way. The game looks great on new-gen consoles and high-end PCs, but the action is as free-form and chaotic as ever. Far Cry 6 will not hold you back whether you want to creep up on enemies or sprint into the line of fire with overwhelming weaponry.
While the free-play days are only available until August 7, the majority of the Far Cry 6 deals are available for much longer. Here's a closer look at Far Cry 6's current sales:

- Far Cry 6 Deluxe Edition (PlayStation) -- $36 ($80)
- Far Cry 6 (Ubisoft Store) -- $24 ($60)
